Six out of every ten children of prisoners or ex-prisoners become involved in crime and prison. These appalling odds can be altered.

Receiving the VanCity Award would allow the Elizabeth Fry Society to complete a $4.3-million campaign and establish a centre for children of offenders.

Located in New Westminister, the Centre will help "break the cycle" through peer, mentoring and school programs.

The Elizabeth Fry Society has the expertise, experience, and credibility with offenders to undertake this new initiative. In order to do so we have brought together three partners to assist us in this important initiative.
